How do I get Eternal Life through Jesus Christ?

In the book of Acts chapter 16 verses 30-31 there was a man that asked the Apostle Paul one of life’s most fundamental questions: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” The answer in verse 31 was simple, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved!”

If you have never made a decision for Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour it can be done now wherever you are. Here are some passages from the Holy Bible explaining God’s plan of Salvation. After you have read through them repeat aloud the short prayer following them.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God sent His Son Jesus into the world so that we could be saved from sin, which is the separation from Him.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now through Jesus we can be one with God and forgiven of all our sins.

Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 4:12< br /> Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Our salvation is our peace with God.

Romans 5:1,6,8-9
5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

The prayer of salvation is founded on the following scriptures.

Romans 10:8-10
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Now repeat this prayer aloud:

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. I know I am a sinner in need of your salvation. Come into my heart, make me a new person in you. I believe you died for my sins and God raised you from the dead so I could be saved. I now confess you with my mouth and receive you in my heart. According to your Word I am saved.

If you prayed that prayer sincerely from your heart you are now saved for all eternity and have become a member of the family of God as His child! These last two scriptures are for confirmation of that very fact, and an admonishment for you to share with someone your confession in Jesus.

Matthew 10:32
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

2 Cor. 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Welcome to the Family of God!
