Prison Advocacy

Is a monthly support group that meets to help ex-offenders and their families, providing a place of confidentiality, were individuals can speak openly about the issues affecting their lives.

We have sent teams into Los Padrinos, CIW (California Institute for Women), Camp Miller , Camp Kilpatrick, Camp Rockey, and Twin Towers.

As of 2003, there are more than two million people incarcerated in American jails and prisons.  The United States puts more people behind bars per capita then any country in the world:  The U.S. has 702 incarcerated persons per 100,000 persons.  American prison population increased 500% between 1970 and 2002, doubling in the last decade of the century.
